Spring Semester Final Videos!!!

Wicked Truth finished up the spring semester with a screening of the final films at Columbia College. Thanks to everyone who showed up to make the event such a great success! It was wonderful to see so many old and new faces and hear all the positive feedback. We screened two documentaries and Wicked Truth’s first narrative film. Participants worked hard gathering interviews, writing scripts, producing and editing these videos. For many, it was their first time working with video cameras and editing software. So a big congratulations, of course, to the youth participants who made such great films and were so thoughtful and well spoken during the Q & A. As we gear up for our summer semester we’re definitely riding on the great energy from these latest films.

Wicked Truth Now Accepting Applications!

Welcome to Wicked Truth: What’s the Story? Our program is now accepting applications for the Summer semester!

Here are the basics of what you need to know:

-This is a 5-week program meeting Monday -Friday from 12:00-4 .

-The program provides youth with the opportunity to get paid up to 400 dollars to make digital short films. When participants show up to work they learn about filmmaking techniques and editing skills, and then use those skills to make films that are screened to the community. Participants are required to come up with their own stories and decide how to tell them. To see examples of what kind of films we’ve made before check out our postings from the Fall/Winter semester.

Final Screening- DePaul University
